NPP executive resigns over J.B. Danquah’s murder

Late Member of Parliament, J.B. Danquah’s death is still having a ripple effect on the leadership and followers of the New Patriotic Party.
In a rather shocking move, one of the executives of Ghana’s biggest opposition party, NPP, resign from her position less than 100 days to the 2016 general elections.
Madam Doris Akosua Sarpomaah, who was, until her resignation, the Abuakwa North Constituency Treasurer of the party cited the murder of the late MP, J. B. Danquah as one of the main reasons for her actions.
Confirming the news to the Koforidua-based Bryte FM, Osei-Owusu, who is the Communication Officer of the party in the constituency revealed that the death of the late MP had affected Madam Sarpomaah significantly.

He revealed that former executive of the party was too emotionally affected by the death to keep holding on to her position hence her resignation.

“We, therefore, wish to appeal party faithful and the general public to desist from transacting with her in her former capacity”, he revealed.
The accused murderer of the late MP is still in police custody as his court trial continues.
